Clean Indoor Air Can Help You Age Slowly

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

istock_000006083061xsmall1If you live near or in a city, you are in need of air purification as part of your efforts to live younger longer. The air you intake is more polluted than ever because of second hand smoke, combustion and biological pollutants, household products, lead, radon, asbestos and formaldehyde.

With the push for homes to become even more air tight and well insulated for better energy consumption, there is an increase in the number of pollutants you inhale. Radon gas, formaldehyde emissions from carpet, plywoods and cabinets all contribute to home pollution. People who use nonstick Teflon cookware show higher levels of chemicals in their blood. Often times sheets are treated with a formaldehyde finish so checking to ensure they are untreated is well worth the effort.

Using too many disinfectants affects the body’s immunity. You may want to open a window while cleaning with these products and/or use a vent fan. Long term exposure to these pollutants may lead to serious health problems such as respiratory distress, heart problems, kidney issues, coughing, sneezing, dizziness and aging.

Aging skin is one of the results when mucous cannot be moved from the body, and these toxins penetrate the blood stream. Then your skin can experience acne and other forms of skin damage.

Air pollution can cause oxygen exhaustion and lead to faster aging.  Having an air purifier in your home is one way to provide protection from a large number of pollutants while helping you live younger longer.

Have a fun and successful day,

How Does Deep Breathing Help You Live Younger

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

Yoga 1If you are looking for ways that you can stay younger, you may want to add some deep breathing to your anti-agi Yoga 1ng program. You can deep breathe younger, but many people do not realize how important deep breathing is to your body keeping it as young as possible.

Oxygen is important to the body and the best way that you can get more oxygen into your cells is to do some deep breathing.  When you breathe deeply it oxygenates your system, and also facilitates exhaling more carbon dioxide.  Deep breathing helps to massage the stomach, liver, heart and other organs, keeping them healthy and young.

When you deep breathe younger, the deep breaths helps stimulate your lymph system and improves blood flow.  Increased blood flow and a healthy lymph helps eliminate more toxins from your body.  Toxins are known to make you age more quickly, so deep breathing can help help you to stay looking and feeling younger longer.

Deep breathing is a great stress reliever.  When you breathe deeply, you clear your lungs, increases mind focus, and the body relaxes and lets go of stress.  Stress is a huge factor when it comes to aging so small steps can provide large benefits.

When you take four deep, deep breaths and hold for a count of six or seven, then exhale and you’ll see how this one exercise can make such a difference.  When you oxygenate your cells, eliminate toxins and stress, you’ll then notice how young and radiant your skin looks as a result.

Have a fun and successful day,
