Think Your Public Water Is Good Enough To Drink?

Monday, January 26th, 2009

This is a question worth pondering.  Public Water supplies contain contaminants ranging from agricultural runoff to improper use of chemicals from households.  Pollution, industry and farming chemicals are the biggest sources of these contaminants.

Chlorine and flouride are both added to most public water to kill disease-causing bacteria in the water or in transport pipes.  This good intentioned act comes with its own price.  Chlorine reacts with other naturally occurring elements and forms toxins called trihalomethanes.

Trihalomethanes are sources for a wide range of disease ranging from asthma, eczema, heart disease to bladder cancer.  Some states are beginning to use ozone to purify water because of lowered side effect risk.

Many countries now are eliminating the use of flouride, for what was thought at one time as a prevention for cavities, because of side effects and toxicity.

Skin ages from both inside and outside.  Internal factors include overall health, nutrition, toxins, water content, genetics and hormonal balance.  External factors include sun and pollution.

Pure water is one of the basics to any anti-aging program.  Contaminants and chlorine in your water will contribute to aging because water is the main factor to remove internal body toxins.  If your are ingesting chemicals in your water, then cleansing becomes a challenge because you are replacing chemicals, not removing them.

Maintaining proper hydration, whether by drinking water cleaned by distillation, reverse osmosis, or ozonation, is essential for healthy and glowing skin.  Your body can remove internal body toxins easily and provide proper cellular hydration if you provide it with plenty of pure water.

Don’t expect to “look good” if your body is full of toxins.  After all, living young is all about eliminating as many toxins and chemicals in your indoor air, water, food, cosmetics and toiletries as possible.  Once you’re on a program of avoiding those pollutants, your body will thank you by looking and feeling your very best.

Why Do You Need Alkalized Water?

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Alkalized water enhances the body’s anti-aging mechanism. You see, the body can create free radicals because of the various cell processes, including the elimination of its own wastes. These free radicals cause oxidative damage and prevent the proper function of proteins and molecules. Simply put, they can make you sick and increase the level of toxicity in your body – then you age rapidly.

When you eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, you have higher levels of antioxidants to decrease these toxins in your cells. Fruits and vegetables have a high water content also so they help you remain “moisturized”.

Anti-aging is just one of the growing number of benefits that you can get from alkalized water. It’s important that you strike a balance between acid and alkaline for good cellular health. However, because eating meats, dairy, cheese, sodas and a host of other popular foods, the body has a tendency to become acidic. To bring back a good balance of acid/alkaline, you need to drink alkaline water.

Today there are machines that can help convert acidic water into alkaline. Whichever you choice, try to make this part of your daily diet. Alkalized water doesn’t only satisfy your thirst, but provides better health by neutralizing these acids. It’s a small price to pay for living younger.

Have a fun and successful day,
