Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Healthy, gorgeous hair is a common desire for many women. Having hair that is long and shiny usually makes you feel good about yourself. It’s also a great self-esteem booster when others comment on fabulous your hair looks. Finding a hair growth supplement that provides all the necessary vitamins and minerals for your hair is the best way to get it to start growing fast. If you want to learn more please read the rest of this amazing article.

Even women who are known for eating the healthiest diet possible might not be getting the right amount of vitamins that are needed for quick hair growth. The supplements that can be added to a daily diet are carefully designed so that all the right vitamins are included. For a healthy scalp, since this is where the hair begins its growing process, there are vitamins A, C, and E in the supplements.

Niacin is a vitamin that keeps blood circulation in order, which also helps the scalp stay healthy and is found in any hair growth supplement. Inositol is in charge of maintaining the health of hair follicles.

Minerals that are added to these supplements include, calcium, fluorine, magnesium, zinc, and selenium. Calcium is great for hair strengthening and works well when combined with magnesium. Zinc helps keep hair from getting too dry and brittle by working with vitamin A.

Copper, silica, and sulfur are often included to supplements since they help hair to become stronger. When hair is strong, it’s less likely to become broken and damaged.

Iodine is another key element for preventing dry hair. While each of these vitamins and minerals can be found in many foods, taking a hair growth supplement is the best way to ensure that you are actually getting the right amounts needed to speed hair to grow fast. Adding a daily supplement to your diet will also add to the overall health of your hair.

If you are dealing with thinning hair, it may be making you look older than your years.  As  men and women grow older, often hair begins to thin and while you may have a great anti-aging program going, that thin hair may be keeping you looking years older.  Here is a look at some of the causes of thin hair and a few natural remedies you can try.

There are a variety of things that can cause hair loss in both men and women and one of those causes of thinning hair is known as androgenetic alopecia.  This is also called genetic balding and it can occur to men and women alike.  Many people are genetically programmed with this problem and are more likely than others to have hair that thins out as they age.

Stress can cause hair to thin.  Extreme exercise, diets, diseases, surgery, problems with the immune system, allergies, and surgery can also lead to problems with hair loss too.  Even some drugs can cause this problem to occur.

Of course, no doubt you are probably wondering what you can do to stop that thinning hair so you can stay looking as young as possible.  The good news is that there are many natural treatments you can try.

One idea is to make sure you properly care for your hair.  Don’t over wash your hair or use water that is too hot.  Using moisturizing natural treatments like olive oil, coconut milk, almond oil, or castor oil can help stop thinning.  Massage to the neck and head is known to help stop hair loss too.  DHT levels, which have a direct link to hair loss can be lowered by exercising, which can help stop hair from thinning out so much.

There are a variety of herbs that are known to help treat hair loss issues.  Just a few you may want to add to your diet include ginkgo billoba, basil, rosemary, green tea, parsley, basil, burdock and nettle.
