Your Sweet Scents May Not Help You Age Well
Friday, October 2nd, 2009While you may have some wonderful and expensive perfumes that you love to wear, these sweet scents may not be helping you age well. Most people today are worried about getting older, and there are definitely things you can do to keep your body looking and feeling young, but using perfumes on a regular basis is not one of them.
If you realized what you were actually spraying on your body and looked beyond the wonderful scent, you’d be surprised to find out what kinds of beauty product toxins are in your perfumes and colognes. Although you may not realize it, there are various chemicals in your perfumes. Some perfumes have hundreds of different chemicals in them, and many of these chemicals are toxic to your body.
When you put on your perfume, you’re not just breathing a bit of it in, but you’re putting it on your skin, which means it is being absorbed into your body through your pores. Some of the beauty product toxins that you could be absorbing into your body from your perfumes and colognes include ethanol, linalool, ethyl acetate, acetone, methylene chloride, and more. All of these chemicals can be potentially dangerous to your body.
These beauty product toxins not only can be harmful to your health, but they may be making you age faster, which is definitely something you don’t want to happen. Your perfumes and colognes are merely adding on to the toxicity and chemical load on your body, which is not good for any anti-aging program. If you want to age beautifully, then it may be time to kiss those sweet scents goodbye.
Have a fun and successful day,
Vida
